Notensive AI Terms of Service

Article 1. Purpose

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the Notensive AI app and related services (the “Service”) provided by TAEIL HA (the “Operator”), and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Operator and users.

Article 2. Definitions

  1. “User” means anyone using the Service under these Terms, including people who use it without signing in.
  2. “Member” means a user signed in with a Google or Apple account.
  3. “Subscription” means paid access that renews automatically monthly or annually through a store.
  4. “Credits” are units used within the Service for AI features. They are not cash or electronic money and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred.
  5. “Content” means notes, handwriting, images, audio, and AI-generated results that users create or upload through the Service.

Article 3. Publication and changes to these Terms

  1. The Operator publishes these Terms in the app and on a public webpage.
  2. The Operator may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. The effective date and reasons for a change will be announced at least seven days in advance. Changes unfavorable to users will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
  3. Users who do not agree to amended Terms may stop using the Service and delete their accounts. Continuing to use the Service without expressing an objection between the announcement and effective date will be treated as acceptance. The Operator will explain this when announcing the changes.

Article 4. Registration and accounts

  1. You register by signing in with a Google or Apple account. Local storage features are free to use without signing in.
  2. Children under 14 may not register.
  3. Members are responsible for managing their accounts and must not allow others to use them.
  4. Purchases and credits belong to the app account signed in at the time of purchase and cannot be transferred to another app account.

Article 5. Service features

  1. Free features: Text and handwritten notes, local storage, export, and AI features within the trial credits provided at registration.
  2. AI subscription: Cloud features such as note synchronization and an AI usage allowance provided during the subscription.
  3. Additional credits: AI credits available for purchase and use without a subscription.
  4. Each product's price, duration, and benefits are as displayed in the app and store checkout before purchase.

Article 6. Payments and automatic renewal

  1. Paid products are purchased through Google Play or the App Store, under the relevant store's payment terms.
  2. Unless canceled, subscriptions renew automatically each month or year on the same terms and are charged to your store account.
  3. You can cancel in the store's subscription management settings. Cancellation stops charges from the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
  4. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not cancel a subscription.
  5. The timing and charges for plan changes are as shown in the store checkout.

Article 7. AI usage allowances and credits

  1. A monthly AI subscription provides an allowance of 300 credits per subscription period. An annual AI subscription provides 300 credits each month for 12 months, rather than granting all credits at once.
  2. Subscription allowances can be used only during the applicable period and do not roll over.
  3. Separately purchased additional credits do not expire and remain usable after subscription cancellation.
  4. Credits are deducted in this order: subscription allowance, trial credits, then additional purchased credits.
  5. The estimated credit cost is displayed before an AI operation, and the operation runs only after your confirmation. Reserved credits are restored if processing fails. Insufficient credits do not trigger an automatic additional purchase.
  6. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another user, except for refunds required by law.

Article 8. Withdrawal and refunds

  1. Refunds for paid products follow the relevant store's refund policies and procedures. You may request a refund directly from Google Play or the App Store.
  2. Credits and subscriptions are digital content provided immediately after payment. Under Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc., withdrawal may be restricted for content whose delivery has begun or that has been used. You may contact the Operator about unused portions or cases where a legal right of withdrawal applies.
  3. When a store issues a refund, subscription access and credits provided by that purchase are revoked. Credits already used before the refund are reconciled by deducting them from credits granted later.
  4. If the Service is defective or differs from its description or advertising, you may request withdrawal or a refund under applicable law.

Article 9. AI results

  1. AI answers, summaries, translations, recognition results, transcripts, and images are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete.
  2. You should independently verify AI results before using them for important decisions involving law, medicine, finance, safety, or similar matters.
  3. Using AI features sends the requested text, images, or audio to the server and AI provider (OpenAI). See the Privacy Policy for details.
  4. Answers based on external public information, such as weather and population statistics, may differ from actual conditions depending on when the source information was provided.

Article 10. Content rights

  1. You retain the rights to content you create.
  2. The Operator processes content only as needed to provide the Service, including storage, synchronization, and AI processing. Your content is not used for advertising or AI model training.
  3. You may use AI-generated results in compliance with applicable laws and the AI provider's usage policies. You are responsible for checking whether results infringe third-party rights.

Article 11. User obligations

Users must not:

  1. Misuse another person's account or collect or use personal information without authorization.
  2. Create or request content that infringes others' rights, including copyright, or violates the law.
  3. Use AI features to generate content for unlawful, violent, hateful, sexually exploitative, or fraudulent purposes.
  4. Misuse the Service or servers, or bypass or manipulate payment and credit systems.
  5. Reverse-engineer the Service or disrupt its operation by sending excessive requests through automated tools.

Article 12. Restrictions on use

The Operator may restrict access after prior notice if a user violates Article 11. In urgent cases, such as payment fraud or server attacks, access may be restricted first and notice provided afterward. You may appeal a restriction by contacting the support email.

Article 13. Changes and interruption of the Service

  1. The Operator may change the Service to improve features or meet operational needs. Significant changes will be announced in advance.
  2. The Service may be temporarily interrupted for unavoidable reasons, such as maintenance, failures, or interruptions affecting external providers, including stores, infrastructure, and AI providers.
  3. If the Operator discontinues a paid service, notice will be provided at least 30 days in advance. Remaining subscription periods and unused credits will be compensated or refunded under applicable law.

Article 14. Account deletion

  1. Members may delete their accounts at any time through Settings → Data export / Delete account, or by email following the account deletion instructions.
  2. Account deletion permanently removes the account and synchronized data from the server. Payment records that must be retained by law are kept for the period specified in the Privacy Policy.
  3. Account deletion does not automatically cancel store subscriptions. Cancel your subscription in the store before deleting your account. Remaining credits are forfeited upon account deletion.

Article 15. Limitation of liability

  1. The Operator is not liable for losses caused by circumstances without the Operator's intent or negligence, such as natural disasters or external-provider outages.
  2. You manage data stored only on your device. The Operator is not liable for its loss due to a lost device or app uninstallation. Back up important notes through export or synchronization.
  3. This Article does not apply to losses caused by the Operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and does not limit liability beyond what applicable law permits.

Article 16. Governing law and dispute resolution

  1. These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. The Operator and users will seek to resolve disputes about the Service through good-faith discussion.
  3. Unresolved disputes may be brought before the competent court under Korea's Civil Procedure Act.

Effective date

These Terms take effect on September 15, 2026.
